This is a company started in 1976 by Brad Dorfman. It had its great boom in the skateboarding world between the 80s and 90s, thanks to a new wave of kids who wanted to have fun landing tricks in the streets. Vision not only specialized in the manufacture of skateboards, but also explored apparel production, making and selling sweatshirts, t-shirts, backpacks, and even shoes under the name “Vision Street Wear”. They then demonstrated the extensive insight that its founders had with the market they intended to target, and they managed to win over young people with a wide variety of products.
With ambassadors at the level of “Gonz”, Mark “Gator” Rogowski, Tom Groholski, Mike Dominguez, Ron Wilkerson, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Beastie Boys, and others spreading the brand’s name alongside their own, Vision made its way into skateboarding, the music subculture, and even BMX! Today we’ll see the journey that this legendary company has been on thus far. And, even though it has remained low-key in the last while, it is still more alive than ever.
